Regional Timetable updated 23/01/2025

We have 152 ESLAC athletes competing at Regionals at Sylvania Waters Athletics Track 225R Belgrave Esplanade Sylvania Waters on Feb 1 & 2.  This is our largest ever Regional team and we have the second largest number of athletes at the carnival and our team is in the largest number of events. So a great achievement by all of our athletes.

Progression to State for U9 to U15 is automatic for the first two places at Regionals in the final with the next 8 fastest/longest from all Regions also qualifying for State U9-U12 .  For U13 to U15 the next 8 includes performances from Treloar Shield and Country Championships with 16 and 17 being able to enter State directly.  Under 8s do not progress to State.

Cost

Cost for Regionals is $25 per athlete if you are volunteering, and all athletes get a pair of our ESLAC Steigen socks or an ESLAC cooling towel when they pay.   The volunteer duties will be issued before 24 January and as the second largest club we will have a large number of duties.   Where we have the field event and an ESLAC athlete is in the field we automatically allocated the parent the duty as we assume you will be there with your athlete.  Volunteers please ensure you wear enclosed shoes.

If you are not volunteering the cost for the first athlete is $85 (as it includes the non volunteer fee of $60) and $25 each for the second, third athlete etc.  The non volunteering fee helps cover the costs of the club crew that will be covering a range of duties at the event all weekend.

Payment can be made at the Monday training at ES Marks 20 January, Friday night 24 January, Monday Training 27 January or Friday night 31 January at the registration table.  If you are paying at the carnival please pay  Drew Richardson, Emma Laurence and Ivy Carrano at the ESLAC tent.  If paying at the carnival please pay by cash.

Duties

We will receive our list of duties I mid January and will provide an update.  They will be on both days and likely on one or two field events.

Program

The final program has not been issued.  It is similar to last year and is a two day program similar to the zone program with the Saturday 100m, 400m , 1500m and the Sunday 3000m, 70m, 200m and 800m.  However for exact times please refer to the actual program when issued.
